We went to Masaya one day after classes during the day. Masaya is the capital city in the state of the Managua, which is where I live. It is the third largest city in Nicaragua and is known for it's two markets.
While we were there, two of my site mates bought guitar for
about $150 each at Guitarras Pilarte
Then we walked to the “bus station”, which
was just a field of yellow school buses. As one volunteer told us, Nicaragua is
where American yellow school buses go to die. Here are two pictures of the
buses.
